Racine – Cordero Roger Rodriguez, affectionately known as "Cord", 17, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was born in Racine on July 17, 1995, son of Roger and Vickie (nee: Schimanski) Rodriguez.
Cord was currently in his senior year at Walden III. Cord was known best for his wonderful sense of humor and his perpetual ability to make people laugh. Cord treasured his family and enjoyed every moment spent with them. He loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Cord liked archery and often would shoot at Little John's Archery in Racine. He was a naturalist and was a conscious conservationist. Cord had dreams of studying conservation law at Montana State University.
Cord leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Roger and Vickie Rodriguez of Racine; brother, Jerod Rodriguez of Racine; loving grandmothers, Sue Schimanski of Caledonia, Zula Rodriguez of Racine; aunts and uncles, Sylvia Marquez of Racine, Vivian (Mike) Krenzke of Racine, Robin (Vince) Sabatino of Sykesville, MD, John (Elisa) Rocha of Kenosha, Joe (Ann) Rocha of Dallas, TX, John (Mary Jo) Schimanski of Caledonia, Roy (Lisa) Schimanski of Yorkville, Sharon (Bill) Vlieger of Waterford, Becky (Brian) Veto of Yorkville, Sandy (Keith) Burmeister of Franksville; great-aunt, Frances Allen of Racine; faithful dog and companion, Izzy; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Cord is preceded in death by his loving grandfathers, Roger A. Rodriguez, John Schimanski; and proud aunt, Yolanda Gammons.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, October 22, 2012, 7 pm, at Grace Church 3626 Hwy 31, with Rev. Sam Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 pm until the time of the service. Private burial take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials should be directed to Roger and Vickie Rodriguez for a memorial to be established at a later time.
