Corwin Riley Wheeler came into this world on September 23rd, 2002, and he did own every second of the short time he had on Earth. Corwin was named for the Prince of Chaos in the Chronicles of Amber, and he certainly lived up to that title. In his chaos he was also hilarious, he was sweet, he was kind, and you loved him instantly. As much love as Corwin attracted, he also gave just as freely. He impacted those around him in a way that leaves an imprint forever, because besides chaos his name also translates to friend of the heart from Gaelic.

Corwin was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin and attended Salem/ Trevor grade schools and graduated from Round Lake High School. He enjoyed wrestling, football, trap shooting, and sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Corwin also enjoyed the outdoors, and animals – dogs were his heart and soul. Corwin's love of the outdoors led him to becoming a fisherman in Alaska, where he was employed by Alaska Leader Fisheries, and he even wanted to start his own fishing company with his good friend and fellow fisherman, Paul Nelson. Corwin passed unexpectedly on July 5th, 2024, doing what he loved in Kvichak Bay, Alaska.

Corwin is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leah Wheeler-Rigazzi and Andy Rigazzi, as well as his sister, Zoe Wheeler, his fur siblings, Tank and T-Rex, fur son Travis, and fur nephew, Russell. Corwin is also survived by his grandparents, Rochelle and Ronald Wheeler, Janice and Joe Ketterhagen, Paul and Denis Rowe, his father Jeff Rowe, Uncle Matt Rigazzi, Godfather Doug Schaefer, and numerous chosen family and countless friends.

A memorial celebration of Corwin's life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant. Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of the service. A celebration for family and friends will follow.

"God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day, and when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray; when in the Lord's safe landing net, I'm peacefully asleep, that in His mercy I be judged as good enough to keep."
