Obituary

Daimeon Dewayne "Dewey" Stevenson Sr. peacefully fell into a deep sleep on Sunday, November 12, 2023, completing his earthly journey at Vista East Hospital in Waukegan, IL surrounded by his loving family.

Dewayne was born on February 5, 1968, to the late Warren Milton Stevenson and Lillie B. (nee; Noble) Stevenson in Jonesboro, AR. The family relocated to Racine, WI when he was a young child. Dewayne graduated from Washington Park High School in 1987. DeWayne was a proud member of the "Social Menace", a group of young boys who were friends that hung out together and as they grew older became brothers, and they remain that to this day.  Dewayne started working in high school and was a very hard worker. If there was a job for Dewayne to do, Dewayne got the job done. Over the years he worked at Goodwill Industries, and KFC; this is where his love for cooking chicken came from. Then he went on to work for Gel Co., Laidlaw, and First Student Bus Company. Dewayne really enjoyed driving and serving the community.

On October 5, 1991, in Racine, Daimeon was united in marriage to the love of his life, Tiffany (nee: Lott). They had eight children: Symphony, DJ, James, Tyrek, Jacoby, Tyler, Lilly and Christany adding two daughters, Evonne, and Devion. Four grandchildren, JaCarrieon, Novah, Jay'Vieon and Ezra.

Dewayne was a father figure to many who knew him as "Uncle Dewey".

Dewayne's hobbies included cooking and barbecuing, shooting pool, bowling, and drinking with his friends and close family members. Dewayne had a love for cars and spending time with his family. On Sunday afternoons Dewayne was very proud to have dinner prepared; on Tuesdays after work, he would bring home Popeye's chicken (y'all know it was ½ price Tuesdays); on Fridays Dewayne would bring home Derango's pizza and Chester's Chicken from the North side. Dewayne enjoyed watching Undercover Boss with his family.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his father, Warren Milton Stevenson; grandson, JaCarreion James Stevenson; maternal grandparents, Robert Noble Sr. and JoLacy Noble Slaughter; paternal grandparents, Warren D. Stevenson and Alice Ruth Stevenson; parents-in-law, Jacob and Ida Mae Lott; grandmother-in-law, Idell Marsh.

Dewayne leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tiffany Ann (Lott) Stevenson; his sons, Daimeon (DJ) Stevenson, James Wells, Tyrek TK) Stevenson, Tyler Jordan Milton Stevenson; his daughters, Symphony Stevenson, Evonne (Missy) Stevenson, Devion (Dee-Dee) Stevenson, JacobyIda (Coco) Stevenson, Lilly Idell Micole Stevenson, Christany Samaj Monet Stevenson; three grandchildren, Novah Peterson, Jay'Vieon JayShaun Stevenson, Ezra James Wells; his mother, Lillie B.
