Dale Fredrick Stelter was welcomed home into heaven on December 3rd, 2025. A Memorial Service was held for Dale at Victory of the Lamb in Franklin, WI.
Dale was born in Jameston, South Dakota, on September 29, 1946; the son of the late Victor and Esther (Patzer) Stelter. He graduated from Mankato State in 1968 with a degree in Mathematics, earned a second degree in education from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and later received his masters in Curriculum and Education from UW – Milwaukee.
He married the love of his life, Anne Louise Walz on August 10th, 1969, in Fairfax, MN.
Dale dedicated his life to his family and to Christian education. Dale taught and coached in the Lutheran school system for 45 years, having spent the majority of his career at Shoreland Lutheran High School, where he touched countless lives with the love of Jesus.
Dale was an extremely kind and humble man who made a tremendous impact on his family and all who knew him. Throughout the years, he was tireless in his support of his children and grandchildren's activities and loved any time he could spend with his family.
Closest to his heart was always his wife, Anne. He was a devoted husband who loved going on walks hand in hand with his wife and enjoyed spending every minute he could with her.
He will be so incredibly missed by his family and everyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by two children: Angela Michelle Zilisch (Jeff) of Mount Pleasant, WI, and Aaron Christian Stelter (Roxi) of Germantown, WI. He is survived by 5 grandchildren: Payton (Tindall) Borens (Zach) of Mayville, WI, Kaleb Tindall of Somers, WI, Lindsey Zilisch of Wauwatosa, WI, Kelsey Stelter and Lily Stelter of Germantown, WI, and 1 great grandson, Braelon Borens of Mayville, WI. He is also survived by two sisters: Janeth Bitter of Fond du Lac, WI, and Dianne (Ken) Hartman of Albertville, MN. He is preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Freeland.
