Obituary

Daniel M. Baltic, 59, died at United Hospital System Kenosha Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Wakefield, MI on September 5, 1947 to the late Donald and Anna Katherine (nee: Brockbank) Baltic. On September 16, 1967, he married the former Barbara Salmi in Wakefield, MI. Dan worked as a building engineer for the Chicago District Council of Carpenters where he developed many great friendships in which he truly valued. He was also a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1693 (millwrights). He enjoyed his free time collecting and restoring cars but was happiest in the surroundings of his family and friends. In addition to his loving wife, Barbara of Kenosha, his survivors include his sons, Don Christopher (Jennifer) Baltic of Racine, Jason Michael (Christine) Baltic of Kenosha; grandchildren, Samantha and Elizabeth Baltic of Racine; sister, Marjorie (Stanley) Kanaby of Foster City, MI; sister-in-law, Judith (Dan) Jaroch of Nashotah, WI; nieces, Heather and Haley Jaroch of Nashotah; as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, November 17, 2006 7:00 p.m. for a service celebrating Dan's life. There will be time to visit with his family from 5-7 p.m. His family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society.
