Paddock Lake – Daniel F. Kaczmarek, known to all as “Dan”, 69, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee on November 21, 1946, son of the late Daniel and Elisabeth (nee: Legath) Kaczmarek.
Dan graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1964. He was a salesman for Paveloc Industries in Marengo, IL, until his retirement. In his younger years, Dan loved snow and water skiing as well as playing baseball and softball. He was an animated, fun-loving guy that would light up a room. Dan enjoyed life whether it was playing golf with his friends to taking drives in his Corvette to just get away. He loved to spend time on the boat and going out for dinner as long as the love of his life, Cara, was by his side.
Dan leaves to cherish his memory, his best friend and soulmate, Cara Sery of Paddock Lake; daughters, Elisabeth (Eric) Biersack of Milwaukee, Jessica (Joe) Cleary of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Biersack, Lizzie, Matthew, and Anna Cleary; step-mother, Rita Kaczmarek of Milwaukee; brothers, Terry (Camille) Kaczmarek of Seattle, Jeff (Patricia) Kaczmarek of Kenosha; in-laws, Jim and Molly Sery of New Berlin; four-legged companions, Chanel, Alfredo, and Tiny; other family and numerous friends who will miss him tremendously.
A celebration of Dan’s life will take place on Sunday, December 13, 2015, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Racine, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service. Private entombment will take place at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Dan’s family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Dr. Robert Taylor and his staff at Aurora-St. Luke’s for their professional and passionate care that they gave to Dan during this difficult time.

Dan and I worked together for 20 years at Paveloc. I missed him every day after his retirement. He never failed to make me laugh. FIBS, Tanqueray, red stiletto heels and hieroglyphics. I will cherish our times together. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Cara, and all of the family.

Beth, Jessie & family, I am sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. He was my favorite Uncle. I will never forget chasing after him on the ski hills with him saying “Keep it tight”. Or the time I fell into the ice cold lake in Hayward & he ran down the frost covered pier in his cowboy boots to save me. He was sliding all over & almost fell in himself. When he final got to me we were both laughing so hard he could barely pull me up.

In the difficult days to come, may the memories of Dan give you comfort until the words of Isaiah 35:5,6 are fulfilled.

We have not heard from Dan for a long time and it came as a shock to learn that he had passed! Because of our age and physical disabilities we will be unable to attend the service for Dan. Our hearts and prayers will be with him, Jeff, Terry and his close companion Cara. Also to all who loved him!

I was saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. Dan and I were in a band (The Showmen) in the 1960’s that included Gary(deceased) Ray and Bernie. Dan was our singer and I was the drummer. That was special time for all of us. And the memories are still there. I wish the family well.
