Daniel Hansen

Nov 6, 1957 – Jul 16, 2006

Daniel E. “Shark” Hansen, 48, passed away at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital on Sunday, July 16, 2006 after fighting a battle with cancer. He was born on November 6, 1957, son of the late Robert and Elaine (nee: Aller) Hansen.He was a 1976 graduate of Washington Park High School and was a lifetime resident. On January 23, 1988 he was married to Carolyn J. Gergen. Daniel was employed at Wisconsin Metal Products for more than 20 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife and friends, listening to classic R&B music, and was a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs. His daughters and wife were most important to him, and everyone will miss his unique sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; their daughters Lauren, Brooke, and Raquel; 3 brothers and 1 sister; mother and father-in-law Joan and Bob Geshay all of Racine; other relatives and special thanks to our friends Steve and Lyn Steger, Eric Petersen, Dan Pedersen, Marty Rooney, Dale Christensen, Dennis Held, Erin Anstett, his niece Stacey Cannon, Paulette Vanko, Robert Peterson, Brandon Pias, everyone at Wisconsin Metal Products, and many others for their love, concern, and support during these very trying times. Memorial services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. All are invited to visit with his family beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
