Racine, WI – Danny Lamar Goines, 65 years of age passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2019.  Danny was born in Racine, Wisconsin on January 25, 1954, to Luvel  and Lola (nee: Hunter) Goines.

Danny graduated from Washington Park High School.  He was a star athlete and continued his education at Jackson State University with a scholarship in Track and field.  He later became a coach at Washington Park High School.  Danny enlisted in the U.S Military.  After serving in the Military he was employed by American Motors Corporation/Jeep.  Danny was blessed with one son and three daughters.

Danny loved to cooking, singing and dancing.  He also enjoyed watching sports and his favorite country westerns.  Most of all, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Danny leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, Lola Bell Goines;  son, James (Alicia) Goines of Kenosha, WI.; daughters, Danyell Goines, Sarah Goines, Laura (Jerome) Hinton and their mother, Kelly (nee:Foxie) Goines all of Racine; Sixteen grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Price, Brenda Grimes both of Racine, Loretta Goines of Toledo, OH, Joey (Patricia) Goines of Lake Ivanhoe, WI., Victoria (Edward) Jones of Racine; sister in-law,  Willie Mae Goines, aunts, Minnie Brye, Geraldine Goines all of Racine; nieces and nephews;  significant other, Cora J. "Chic" Billups; special friend, David Segura; a host of other relatives and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Luvel "Sis" Goines; brother, Jerry Goines; sisters, Ella Turner, Bonnie Andrews; nieces, Erica Jones, Audrey Goines; grandparents, Willie Ann Hunter, Robert and Helen Goines.

The Celebration of Danny's Life will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 11:00am in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the chapel from 10:00am until the time of service.  Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park.
