Darlene Devora
Belcher
Aug 15, 1952 — Mar 25, 2022
2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our Earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
Darlene Devora Belcher entered eternal rest on Friday, March 25 th , 2022, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine. She was born August 15 th , 1952, in Waukegan, IL into the union of Andrew Belcher Jr. and Maxine Ella Cosby.
Darlene was blessed with three children, Dashon Belcher, Danisha Winston and Dawylon Winston, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 3 Godchildren. She had a very close relationship with her grandson Michael Balderas; they were inseparable.
Darlene was a high school graduate and she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was always thoughtfully giving to others; she could never say no to anything that was asked of her.
Darlene worked as a CNA because she loved helping and caring for others. Her passion was taking care of children and she loved every child that came into her life. She dedicated most of her life running an in-home daycare and she treated each of them as if they were her own.
She accepted Christ at an early age and during the Covid pandemic, she re-dedicated her life to Christ becoming a member of the Glorious Light Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Vinson of Racine, WI. Through a ministry of morning and evening manna that the church offered daily, Darlene was online over six hundred times until her passing.
Darlene was known for her contagious smile, giving spirit and big heart. Her mother Maxine was her best friend, and she loved her brothers and sisters. Darlene spent a lot of time with her grandchildren and her God daughters, always loving on them. Precious and everlasting memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved Darlene. She will be greatly missed.
Darlene is survived by her mother; Maxine Tillman of Racine WI; 2 children: Dashon (Vanessa) Belcher of Racine, WI and Danisha Winston (Danny DiMartino) of Menomonee Falls; 4 siblings: Dwaine, Dyan, Darcell, and Drew Belcher, all of Racine, WI; 5 grandchildren: Dijonnaise, Dre'Anna, Michael, Jayceon and Aniyah; 3 great-grandchildren, 3 Godchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Darlene is preceded in death by her father; Andrew Belcher Jr., stepmother Maggie, son Dawaylon Winston, and grandparents, Leland and Mary Cosby.
Although Darlene Devora Belcher will be dearly missed, she will never be forgotten. Her strength, perseverance, and kindheartedness will live on in all of us. We are grateful for the precious memories forever etched in our hearts.
2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
