Obituary

Sturtevant – David Wayne Davis, 66, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Ascension – All Saints in Racine.  He was born on October 7, 1951, son of the late Herbert and Geraldine (nee: Orne) Davis.

David was united in marriage to the former, Josephine Marie Zurawski, on April 7, 1989, in Las Vegas.  Josephine preceded him in death on November 7, 2008.

Dave was a machinist for Economy Bushing and then Badgerland Carwash Equipment until he retired due to health reasons.  He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing on Wind Lake.  He was musically talented and enjoyed singing and playing guitar.  He had a green thumb and could grow just about anything in his vegetable garden.  He could be found rooting on his favorite Green Bay Packers on just about any Sunday in the fall.  He was also very mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything.  He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding his Sportster around town until he had to sadly give up riding.  He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his best buddy, Tannyn.  Dave will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Dave leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Lynn (Steve) Shelley, Jenny (Gary) Pritchard, Christy (Dave) Andersen, Kevin (Mell) George, Jessica (David Northard) Davis, Sam "Sammy" (Alex) Baylon; grandchildren, Alexis, Trevor, Cody, Brayden, Veronica, Timothy, Dylan, Landon, Tannyn, Seth, Auryn, Kaya, Hali; great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Kennedy, Alaina, Ana, Leaira, Lenae, Emma, Shaynah, Dahlia; brothers, Walter (Ellen) Rekowski, Jr., Ronald (Sheila) Rekowski, Michael Rekowski, Scott (Carol) Rekowski; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dave is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Davis; and sister, Debbie Rekowski.

A memorial celebration of Dave's life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.

The family would like to extend a "Thank You" to the staff at Ascension – All Saints, especially Cher from the ER department and Gary from ICU.
