Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of traditional flowers, feel free to send/bring Lego flowers in David’s memory.

David G. Garcia, age 18, passed away tragically on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born on December 10, 2007, in West Allis, Wisconsin.

David was a senior at Washington Park High School and planned to further his education in aerospace engineering. He was a member of the school’s cross-country and tennis teams, enjoyed building with Legos, and tinkering with electronics. He even built his own desktop computer to his exact specifications.

David was also working toward becoming trilingual. In addition to speaking English and Spanish from birth, he chose to study French in high school to complete the three years of foreign language coursework needed for admission to Stanford University. David was set to graduate from high school on June 7, 2026.

David is survived by his mother, Amanda (Rogelio) Lopez; his siblings, Liliana (Justin) Caira, Ricardo Estevez, Felipe Lopez, and Sophia Lopez; his nephews, Noah and Nico Caira; his grandparents, Carrie (Richard) Kaczor; his Oma, Brunhilde Bender; his aunt and uncle, Samantha Jeske (Leela Yang); his cousins, Lella Rose and Jordan Yang; and many friends, teachers, coaches, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his Opa; his grandfather, David Kowaleski; and his great-grandfather, Thomas Kowaleski.

A visitation will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of traditional flowers, feel free to send/bring Lego flowers in David’s memory.

Testimonials

Jessie Tuttle

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
