Obituary

David, 61, of Waukegan, IL, formerly of Racine, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at Advocate Condella Medical Center- Libertyville on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Known for his passion, and vibrant spirit, he lived life fully and left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. His nickname was Intense Dave. Dave was born in Flint, MI on May 2, 1963, the son of Dennis E. and Phyllis J. (nee: Chasteen) Jackle. With a 38-year career at UL Laboratories in IT and project management, Dave was a dedicated professional whose sharp mind and leadership left a legacy of innovation and collaboration. His colleagues knew him as someone who gave his all—committed, driven, and always ready to tackle the next challenge. Outside of work, Dave was a die-hard Packers and Brewers fan, never missing a game and always cheering with heart. He loved golf, not just for the sport but for the time it gave him to laugh with friends and enjoy the outdoors. His sense of humor, his deep loyalty, and his big generous laugh will be missed beyond words. Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Darge, of Racine, WI; brother, Steven Jackle, of Raleigh, NC; sister Susan (Martin) Weishoff of Oak Creek, WI. Nieces & nephew, Ethan Weishoff, Sophie Jackle, Abi Weishoff and Savannah Jackle; Extended brothers and sisters Sandra (Russell) Harding, of Racine; Theresa (Allan) Novine, of Racine: Christine Ballewske (Gary) of Arcadia, FL, David (Jamie) Darge, of Crivitz, WI and Jeff Price of Topsail, NC, and a wide circle of friends who became family over the years.
