Deborah Ann Pierre-Louis, 47 passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Deb was born in Racine on November 15, 1969 to her parents, Tom and Kathy (nee: Drost) Fredrickson. She graduated from Park High School in 1987 and went on to attend UW-Parkside where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. She was employed in this field with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections where she was a Director of Human Resources for many years and most recently in the recruitment of faculty and staff with UW-Parkside. Although she loved her jobs and the many people she worked with, her biggest love and accomplishment in life was her family.

She married Philippe Pierre-Louis on August 5, 2000 and they were blessed with three wonderful children. The deep love and commitment they have for their children will not die with her; instead, it will live on forever in their hearts and in the continued dedication and remembrance Philippe will instill in them.

Our Deborah was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in January 2015 and endured several chemotherapies and surgeries. Through it all, she remained strong and fought so hard until her very last, peaceful breath. Her strength and drive to survive this evil disease was because of her intense love for her husband and children – her biggest and number one priority.  It is easy to focus on her last two years of life because they were so difficult but let us remember instead the 45 wonderful, healthy years we had with her.

Deb was selfless, loving, helpful, and kind. She loved to laugh, spend time with family, have fun, sing, tell Uncle Chuck jokes, and enjoyed activities like bowling and "glamping" with her a Pride of America Campground family.  She will be severely missed by all of those who love her and whose lives she has touched. For those of us that are left behind, we must ensure there is increased funding for breast cancer research – especially for Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  We do not want another mother, daughter, sister, or aunt to leave their heartbroken family behind.

Deborah is survived by her parents, Tom and Kathy Fredrickson; her husband, Philippe; their three children, Aidan (16), Chloe (14), and Alex (12); her fur-babies Jordan and Zoey; her sisters, Stacey (Tony) Seidl and Jody (John) Seidl; nieces and nephews Kyle (Amanda) and Jacob Seidl, and Kelsey, Evan, and Katey Seidl; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Christian and Danielle Pierre –Louis of Martinique;  sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Pascale Nicolas, Gilles Pierre-Louis both of Martinique, Claire (Jeremie) Dufau of Chapareillan, France, Jessy (Jeremy) Belfroy of Martinique; her many nieces and nephews on her husband's side; aunts, uncles, cousins too many to mention; her great friends, Lauri (Scott) Buck, Deb Hunt, and Shellie (Jamie) Bull.  She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Art and Doris Fredrickson; maternal grandparents, Les and Betty Drost; and Aunt Molly and Uncle Roger.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday evening, December 19 ^th , for a visitation from 6-8 p.m.  The celebration of Deb's life and funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Javier Guativa. There will also be a visitation in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.  Her interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park following the service.  Memorials have been suggested to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.

The family would like to thank Chuck and Theresa Torosian for their generosity in hosting Deb's Cancer Benefit in September. We would like to thank the kind staff at Kenosha Aurora Hospital ICU and to their wonderful Hospice staff as well. A huge and sincere thanks goes to Dr. Mullane, Kelly, and the entire staff at the Aurora Cancer Center in Racine for their heartfelt care and compassion they showed to our beautiful Deborah.
