Demencio DeLeon

Mar 12, 1953 – Aug 11, 2006

Demencio ‘John’ DeLeon, Jr., 53, made his journey to Heaven on Friday, August 11, 2006, with his family at his side. John was born in Racine to the late Demencio and Bernarda (nee:Moya) DeLeon on March 12, 1953.

John enjoyed life spending time with family and friends, whether a family occasion get together or extending his generous heart and helping hands to help those with that much needed home, yard, or auto project. John also enjoyed watching baseball games at local parks, fishing, local church festivals, and the beach.

John leaves to cherish his many memories, the love of his life for 30 years and mother of his daughters, Michelle Irish. The other loves of his life, his loving daughters, Shawna and Melissa DeLeon; brothers and sisters, Raul (Joyce) DeLeon, Mary (Pablo) Gutierrez, Ernestine DeLeon, Herlinda (Alejndro) Gomez, Esperanza DeLeon, Erminia (Renne) Aguirre, Oscar (Charlie) DeLeon and Teresa (Roberto) Sanchez. Michelle’s grandma whom John called ‘Grandma’ Anne Weill; Michelle’s mom whom John often called ‘Mom’ Joanne (Ken) Wilhelm; Michelle’s sisters, Cheryl Irish, Suzette Rogers, Cindy (Kyle) O’Haver, Sandra Irish and Angela Wilhelm. John also leaves to cherish his memories, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was preceded in death by his loving parents; sister, Ramona; and brother, Galvino.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, 3126 95th Street, Sturtevant, Thursday, August 24, 2006, at 1 p.m. with Fr. Bob Konkol O.F.M. officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday at the church from 12 noon until time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his daughters are suggested.
