Obituary

Racine, WI – Deneen McClain was born on February 22, 1965, to the union of Zannie (nee: Gilliam) McClain and Curtis McClain Jr. in Racine, Wisconsin. She was called to be with her Lord on April 5, 2022, after serving 57 blissful years on this earth.

Deneen received her formal education at J.I Case High School in Racine, Wisconsin and furthered her education at Gateway Technical College for a couple of years. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and never let go of that faith. She was employed by Racine County as a Receptionist at the Racine County Workforce Solutions for many years where she was well known, well loved, and well respected. In her leisure time, she enjoyed: cooking, filling in puzzle books, watching soap operas, and spending time with the family in any way she could, whether that was an occasional barbecue or a birthday party. She was the peacekeeper of the family because when things got rough, she would often say "Simmer" and things mellowed out.

Deneen was preceded in death by both of her parents Zannie McClain and Curtis McClain Jr., maternal and paternal grandparents, and her brothers Duane and Kirby McClain. She leaves to cherish her memory her precious twins Gerald and Jarrod McClain AKA "The Boolas", sisters Zandra Fordham and Dana McClain, brothers Ken McClain, Melvin McClain of Toledo Ohio, Tonga McClain, and Reginald "Mony" McClain, and her special aunt Coren "Coe" McWhorter. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
