Obituary

Denise Michelle O'Brien, age 67, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Denise was born on August 17, 1958, in Wisconsin, to Dennis Korytkowski and Irene Michel. She was a lifelong Wisconsin resident and devoted her life to her family, her work, and caring for others.

On September 15, 1994, Denise was united in marriage to Scott O'Brien. Together they shared many happy years filled with love and devotion.

Denise worked as a registered dietitian throughout her career. She earned her master's degree from Mount Mary University and served in hospitals and health care facilities throughout the area, including St. Mary's Hospital and All Saints Hospital. She was dedicated to helping others and was respected for her compassion and kindness.

Denise enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and had quite a collection of shoes and bags. She rarely passed up a good cup of coffee, whether in the morning or after dinner. She also loved baking and sharing her favorite recipes on her blog, where many enjoyed her homemade treats.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Scott O'Brien; her children, Michelle, Danny (Stefanie), and Scotty (Erin); her grandchildren, Elijah, Jayden, Jack, Brayden, and Aubri; her sister, Renee (James) Zirzow; her nephews, Andrew Zirzow, Jason, Nicholas, and Tyler Korytowski; father and mother-in-law, Alice and Richard O'Brien; brother-in-law, Cary (Jody) O'Brien; sister-in-law Kristy (Chris) Geary; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Irene Korytkowski, and her brother, Lance Korytkowski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin 53403. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Horizon Home Care and Hospice or to ALS Research in Denise's memory.
