RACINE – Mr. Dennis Koker, 69, passed away surrounded by his family at Ascension All Saints on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
He was born in Racine on July 22, 1950, the son of the late Ernest and Doris (nee: Smith) Koker. He graduated from JI Case High School in 1968. On July 10, 1982 he married the love of his life, Sheryl Lynn Maynard in Elkhorn, WI.
Dennis worked for JI Case for a number of years before becoming a crossing guard; a job he truly loved. He enjoyed coloring with his grandchildren, cooking ,working on jigsaw puzzles and being in the company of his family. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, Sheryl, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jorge) Elias of Racine, Jason (Tracey) Koker of East Troy; his grandchildren, Peighton, AvaRosa, Anabel and Alejandro; his sister, Kay Earl of Racine; a dear family friend, Tiffany Cuccia of Racine; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by brothers Melvin Koker SR , Fred Koker David Koker. Sisters / in law Karen Coleman Kristine Ellis and Diane Koker . A special thank you to his daughter Jennifer for caring for him.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, January 18, 2020 for a visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A service celebrating and remembering his life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nathan James officiating.
