Deshaun Shavail Honeycutt(Shaunie) 31, received the gift of eternal life on June 25, 2018. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 13, 1987 to the proud parents of Carolyn R. Honeycutt and Ronnie D. Adams. The family moved to Racine, WI in 1988 when Shaunie was 1yrs old. He received his education from Dr. Jones Elementary, Mitchell Elementary and later went on to graduate from J.I. Case high school in 2005.
Shaunie received Christ at an early age, he was a lover of life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his children. Shaunie would try and bring laughter to everyone he encountered. No matter what they were going through. That's the type of person he was; he wanted everyone to be happy and upbeat like him. He enjoyed skating, skate boarding, dancing, playing basketball, going to the lake front or just hanging out with his family and friends. Shaunie displayed his loving and caring spirit further, when he became a caregiver for the elderly and disabled that's how much compassion he had for others. His smile will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Carolyn R. Honeycutt and Ronnie D. Adams. His paternal grandmother Rita S Gaskin, his Maternal grandfather Virgil Lee and his god-mother Ola M. Cobbins. His siblings Frank (Dayton) Edwards, Shaton M. Edwards, Marcus J. Edwards and his godsister Cecilia Cobbins. His seven children Madison, Trevontae, Jordan, Jalieah, Londyn, McKenzie and Malik Honeycutt. Eight aunts Patricia(Dave)Bowman of North Carolina, Stephanie Honeycutt of Wisconsin, Sandra Bland, Felicia Lee, Daphne Lee, Paris(John)Ector, Angela Jones and Kerrie White all of Illinois. Four uncles, James Harris and Jamal Cronin both of Wisconsin, Virgil Livingston Sr. of Minnesota and Darryl Bland of Illinois. Two great aunts Freddie B Cole of Wisconsin and Georgia Mayer of Mississippi. Three nieces, Anissa Velasquez, Jaelynn Edwards and Cazhmere Rhoads. Six nephews, Deshaun Ellison, Marcellus Wohner, Amirr Wohner, Jevon Edwards, Caiden Edwards and DeZayvion Adams. His friend and partner Tracy McMorris, a special friend/brother Sedale Lockridge and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Shaunie loved all his family but he had a special bond with his cousin's Mimi Cole and Ladonna Cole that was unbreakable. Shaunie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Willie B. Honeycutt, paternal grandfather Ronnie D. Adams Sr., his uncle Gary F. Honeycutt as well as his cousin Antoine Redick.
P.S. God saw your struggles and came to take you home. He knew we would be hurt but he didn't want your granny to be alone. Sleep my precious nephew and get your rest. We all loved you, but God loved you best.
