Racine – Diane Johnson, 58, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Racine on June 24, 1957, daughter of the late Albert and Nadine (nee: Martin) Johnson.
Diane graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1976. Earlier in life, she liked to play softball. Diane has always enjoyed poetry and listening to music, especially her all-time favorite, Michael Jackson. She loved going out to eat and taking long drives, usually to go find a good place to eat. Above all, Diane loved her family and friends, and treasured all of the time she was able to spend with them.
Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings, David (Tina) Johnson, Pat (Frank) McNeil, Mark Johnson, Anthony (Diane) Johnson, April (Art) Howell; aunt, Willie Lee Johnson; special cousins, Anita and Stubby; special friends, Ms. Bob Moore, Jessie Cannon, Trish Abney, Joyce Bell; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her infant brother, Tracey Johnson.
A celebration of Diane’s life and homegoing will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, 11:00am, at Wayman A.M.E Church, 424 N. Memorial Drive. Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of the service.
The family would like to say “Thank You” to the staff at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints as well as the staff at Home Harbor for the love and care given to Diane during this difficult time.
