Obituary

Mount Pleasant – Dina Marie Bisotti, age 55, passed away at Lakeview Specialty Hospital on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 due to complications with her lifelong struggle with asthma.

Dina was born in Racine on January 7, 1963 to Frank and Palma "Pam" (nee: Settimi) Bisotti. She attended the schools of Goodland, Dr. Jones, St. Lucy's and graduated from St. Catherine's High School in 1981. With a soft spot in her heart for children, Dina was a teacher for Jack & Jill Day Care Center for over 30 years – until its closure in 2014.

Diagnosed with severe asthma at an early age, Dina never let her medical condition slow her down. Outside of work, she enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling, crocheting, surfing on her IPad, spending time with her niece & nephew, and spoiling her canine companions (Lassie, Princess & Tina).

Surviving are her mother, Pam Bisotti; brother, Frank L. Bisotti; sisters, Debbie Burdick and Diane (Mike) Rauch; niece, Ashley Marie Burdick; nephew, Andrew Robert Burdick; close friend, Edward Gemmell; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends – too numerous to mention all by name. Dina was preceded in death by her beloved father, Frank Bisotti; and sister-in-law, Sandy Bisotti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Javier Guativa officiating. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery – Hwy 32. Visitation will be in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17 th , from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and in the church on Friday from 10 -11 am. In recognition for Dina's love for animals, memorials to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) or to the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America have been suggested.

Special note of thanks to Dr. Robert Gullberg and his team; and to the nursing staff at Lakeview Specialty Hospital for the compassionate care and support given in Dina's time of need. May God bless all of you!
