Racine – Dolores Aldridge, 91, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018.  She was born in Kenosha on February 20, 1927, daughter of the late Salvatore and Divana (Née: Mutto) Ruffalo.

Dolores was united in marriage to the love of her life, Benjamin Franklin Aldridge, on January 18, 1949, in Waukegan.  Benjamin preceded her in death on March 21, 1991.

Dolores worked for Arneson Foundry until her retirement.  She enjoyed mall walking, shopping with her grandchildren, and reading.  She especially liked John Grisham.  Above all else, Dolores loved spending time with her family and treasured the time she was able to spend with them.  She will be dearly missed.

Dolores leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Cheryl Waldron of Kenosha; grandchildren, Angel (George) Rosen, Timothy Aldridge, all of Racine; great-grandchildren, Marissa Aldridge, Alexyss Fanky, Andrew Fanky, Joshua Aldridge, all of Racine, Haley Aldridge of Kenosha, Emily Rosen, George Rosen, Jr., both of Racine, Jennifer Staton of Colorado; great-great-grandson, Logan Ashlin; niece (like a sister), Connie Waters of Kenosha; niece, Carol (Lloyd) Sherman of Texas; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores is preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

A celebration of Dolores’ life will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Kenosha.

The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to the staff at Woods of Caledonia as well as the staff of Grace Hospice for the care given to Dolores during this difficult time.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
