Obituary

Donald Chady, 85 of Racine Wi passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on February 3, 2025.

Donald was born July 2, 1939, in Waupaca, WI, the son Of Mabel and Harold Chady. He moved to Racine, WI at an early age, where he spent the remainder of his life. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1957. After high school he began working at Western Publishing, where he worked for 42 years until retirement. Don married his loving wife Bonnie of 56 years on April 13, 1968, who has been by his side through it all.

Don was an active member of the Moose Lodge and Fifth Street Yacht Club for many years. In his free time, he loved to go camping, fishing, and transporting his grandkids. Don spent a lot of time working on his coin collection that he started at the age of 9 when he would rummage through his coins from his paper route.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Doolittle Chady; his twin sister, Donna Boetcher; his son, Lance (Jackie) Chady; their children, Markus Chady (Alyssa Choinski), Sara Chady (Gavin Lazarski), Jacob Chady (Ashley Gunderson), Cody Wilks (Ashley Wilks); Jackson Wilks (great grandchild); his daughter, Jackie (Donald) Drea; Monica Drea (Jake Grant), Mason Grant (great-grandchild), Daniel Drea (Maddie Drea), Blaike Drea (great-grandchild), Adley Drea (great-grandchild), Allison Drea (great-grandchild), Claudia Conley (Chase Conley), Kash Conley (great-grandchild); His daughter, Christine (Tom) Miklaszewski, Kylie Miklaszewski, Amanda Miklaszewski; his sisters-in-law, Diane (Art) Hansen and Dianne Doolittle.

Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Claudia Chady; parents, Mabel and Herold Chady, his mother-in-law, Elenora Doolittle; father-in-law, Floyd Doolittle; sister and brother-in-law, Arydce and Maynard Schuessler; brother-in-law, George Boetcher; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sherry Doolittle; sister-in-law, Gloria Doolittle; brother-in-law, Bob Doolittle.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, February 8, 2025, for a visitation from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.  A service celebrating his life will follow at 12:00 pm.  For those wishing to watch the service via livestream, you may click on this link at noon. https://youtube.com/live/jwjfsBW-2vs?feature=share
