Kenosha-Donald John Loew passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 following a courageous fight with cancer. He was born in Chippewa Falls on February 20, 1944, the son of the late Roman and Lucille (nee: Swoboda) Loew, and had been a resident of Kenosha for over 30 years. He and his wife Sandy (nee:Vancil) Loew celebrated 28 years together. A talented musician and avid entertainer, he played in many bands over the last 45 years. He played a wicked fiddle, leaving his audience with a performance they would never forget. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his loving wife Sandy; his children Tammie (Tim) Johnson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Todd Loew of Eau Claire, WI; Brandee Lueger of Vackaville, CA; Christine Seils of Metamora, IL; Jason Hamilton and Justin Hamilton of Kenosha, WI; and Crystal Hamilton of San Bernadino, CA; siblings Jim(Emily) Loew and Dave (Nancy) Loew, and Sandy (Don) Rasmussen, all of Chippewa Falls, WI; Connie Miller of Holcombe, WI; and Nancy (Randy) Karlen of Stanley, WI; 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother in law Dennis Miller, and his beloved pets Hank, Lucy and Pearl.

Per his wishes, a cremation and private services were held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be

He wrapped him in His loving arms and whispered, "Come with Me."

He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend

He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.

He tried so hard to stay with us, his fight was not in vain

God took him to His loving arms and freed him from the pain.
