Obituary

Kenosha – Doris I. Hagen, age 75, passed away at St. Catherine's Medical Center in Kenosha on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Doris was born in Chicago, IL on November 13, 1940. Following high school, she went on to attend University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where she met the love of her life, Robert F. Hagen. They were united in marriage on April 9, 1960 in St. John's Lutheran Church – Racine.

Doris was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Kenosha. Among her interests, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking – especially cupcakes for her grandchildren, singing in the church choir and was a proud breast cancer survivor of 16 years.

Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 56 years, Robert; their daughters, Jill, Sherrie and Dawn Hagen; grandchildren, Erica (Tyler) Floyd, Amie (Scott) Day, Joseph Stanton, Katy (Patrick) Seiders, Michelle (Dave) Costedio, Megan Bayes, Ava Bayes and Michael Ropes; great-grandchildren, Alexis Day, Zack Day, Nevin Floyd, Nolan Floyd, Liam Davis, Aubree Costedio, Niall Floyd, Audrey Floyd and Mia Costedio; her siblings and other beloved extended family members & friends – too numerous to mention all by name. Doris was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Johnson and mother, Beatrice (nee: Smith) Adams.

Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. James A. Roemke officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Private interment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In memory of Doris's fight against breast cancer, memorials to the Susan G. Komen Foundation – Southeastern Wisconsin has been suggested.
