Doris M. Mihelich, 79, passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. She was born in Racine on November 15, 1928, daughter of the late Anton and Apolena (nee: Ancinec) Pribyl. Doris was married in St. Johns Nepomuk Catholic Church on January 11, 1947 to Albert L. Mihelich, Sr. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1992. Doris will be remembered by all for her big heart and sense of humor. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word, caring for her family in many loving ways. Doris also drove school bus for many years for the Flash Bus Company here in Racine. She loved being outdoors working in her garden and was well known for her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed spending time watching and feeding the birds in her backyard. She also liked watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and other game shows on TV. Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Timothy Dorf; sons and daughter-in-law, Allan Mihelich, Albert (Shelly Turek) Mihelich, and Jacquelyn Mihelich; grandchildren, Becky (Joe) Dolezal, Dawn (Todd) Gibson, Jennifer (Brandon) Molina, Jason Mihelich, Roxanne (Nicholas) Flores, Sheila Dorf and Piper Mihelich. great-grandchildren, Emily and Joey, Haley and Lucas, Paul and Haley, Natalie and Emma; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Donald, Edward, and Robert; and her brothers and sisters, Teddy, Joseph, Lydia, Josephine, Anthony and Frank. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 with Pastor John R. Dingman officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be in the funeral on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorials to the Countryside Humane Society have been suggested.
