Dorothy C. Johnson, 65, was called Home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 12, 2009. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 30, 1943 the daughter of the late William and Gladys (nee: McCain) Lee. She graduated from DuSable High School. Mrs. Johnson had been employed by the Wrigley Gum Company for over 30 years. On June 24, 1964, in Chicago, she united in marriage to Willie Johnson who preceded her in death in 1992. Surviving are her children, Poncella (Brad) Ballard, Tonja White, Brenda Johnson and Willie (Donna) Johnson all in Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Poncella Risiner and Gladys Donald both of Racine, Judy Lee of Chicago, IL, and Rosemary Hadkinson of East St. Paul, MN; brothers, Clifton Lee, Paul Lee both of Chicago, and Michael Lee of Racine. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents her brothers Willie Lee and John Lee preceded her in death. Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 21st at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Fair officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes cremation will follow.
