Racine – Douglas Robert Walling, age 45; passed away unexpectedly at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
Doug was born in Racine on February 3, 1969. Extremely talented with his hands, Doug worked in construction. He was also talented artist who could draw just about anything, and had great aspirations of becoming a tattoo artist. Doug also enjoyed building motorized bicycles. Above all, he loved being in the surroundings of his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Dawn (nee: Berget) Walling; children; Jeremiah Coey, Nathan (Krista) Walling, Megan Walling, Zachary Walling, Jacob Walling, Rebecca (Nick) Berget, Hannah Berget, Violet Duncan, Aaron Benson and Jamie Benson; 10 grandchildren, Katrina, Damien, Andrew, Mason, Brevyn, Daxtyn, Ava, CJ, Kahna and Pharlie; parents, Robert and Carolyn Iverson; sisters, Dawn Iverson-Hudson and Debi Iverson-Mauldin; brothers-in-law, Dean and Dan Berget; close friends, Ryan Christman, Kimberly Shore, Renee Wenzel, Machelle Lexa, and Terri Feest; and devoted friends (of whom were brothers), Bobby Street, and Kevin Whitt, close cousin; Mikey Bishop; other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
A Celebration of Life for Doug will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Pour House Bar (1307 Douglas Avenue Racine, WI 53402).
