Earlie Mae (nee: Martin) Briscoe, age 78, was born on January 16, 1942, in Taylor, MS, to Kermit and Mae Etta (nee: Fondren) Martin. She answered the Call of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at her residence.
Earlie received her formal education in Oxford, MS, where she attended Central High School.
In 1963, Earlie relocated to Racine, WI. In 1964, she was united in holy matrimony to Robert Wesley Briscoe, Jr. To this union four (4) children were born.
Earlie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age in Taylor, MS. After relocating to Racine, she soon united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a longtime, dedicated member. She attended church faithfully and served in the Pastor's Helpers Ministry for over 25 years. Earlie was a woman who loved God and enjoyed going to church. She served the Lord with a smile on her face and joy in her heart.
She was employed by Jacobsen Textron as a Punch Press Operator for over 20 years before retiring. After retiring from Jacobsen, Earlie worked for many years for the US Postal System, a job that she loved dearly.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling to Dallas, TX; working in her garden and attending Family Reunions. She valued the quality time she spent with her family and friends.
Earlie leaves to cherish her precious memory her beautiful children: Kevin (Brenda) Briscoe of Racine, WI; Michelle (Gurubax) Jutley of Dallas, TX; Giselle Briscoe of Dallas, TX and Keith Briscoe of Racine, WI; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Zannie Martin; Bernice (David) Wilson and Earlene Egerson, all of Racine, WI. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and church members.
Earlie Mae is preceded in death by her parents; her Brothers: Charles Martin, Arnold (Mickey) Martin and Frank L. Martin; Sisters: QV Tyson and Lillie Mae Luster; Brothers-in-Law: Wesley Egerson and Collier Tyson; Sisters-in-Law: Betty Martin, Julie Martin and Mary Martin.
As we celebrate her homegoing, please continue to share the joy and love that she shared with so many.
The Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 11:00am in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the Chapel from 9:00am until the time of service. Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby will be officiating. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
In accordance with Racine County mandate, only 50 people will be allowed to enter the funeral home at a time. You may be required to wait outside until others leave the building. For the safety and security of our guests we also require those in attendance to wear a face covering. We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
