PEWAUKEE (FORMERLY OF RACINE AND KENOSHA) – Mrs. Edith A. Begh, 89, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
She was born in Caledonia on December 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Gust and Anna (nee: Behnke) Beich. On March 27, 1943, she married Carl E. Begh in Portage, WI. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2010.
Mrs. Begh formerly attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Racine and enjoyed attending her daughter's church, Christ Our Savior Church in Sussex. She loved to garden, travel and decorate her home. However, she was happiest when she was in the company of her family.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Thomas Duckett of The Villages, Florida, Amy (John ) Mason of Lisbon, WI; her grandchildren, Heather (Will) Daugherty of Lewisville, TX., Alexandra (Dan) Martino of Osprey, FL., Katharine, Jacob, Jeremy, and Andrew Mason all of Lisbon, WI; her great grandchildren, Adelle, Amelie and Emma; her sister, Lila Rietman of Merrimac; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Begh was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. for the celebration of her life and funeral service with Rev. Tom Kent officiating. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Christ Our Savior Church in Sussex or Allay Home and Hospice in Brookfield.
Mrs. Begh's family would like to thank the entire staff at Allay Home and Hospice; especially Michelle, Rebecca, Alyse, Kathy, Maleka and Amy for the loving and professional attention that was provided while she was under their care.
