A celebration of life visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 12:00 O’clock Noon until 2:00 p.m.

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Hooks Sr. announces his passing at the of age 65, on May 15, 2025 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with their presence among the bedside.
Edward was born on June 20, 1959, in Racine, Wisconsin to Mary Louise (McClain) Hooks and the late Eddie Lee Hooks. He was a proud track team member and graduate of Washington Park High Schoolβs Class of 1976.
He was known for his sense of humor and generous spirit. He had a natural gift for bringing laughter into any room and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Among his favorite pastimes was playing Dominoes, a game he enjoyed not only for the strategy but also for the camaraderie it brought with friends and family. He also enjoyed cheering on his number one team in The National Football League, The Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fond memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him for the laughter he shared, the kindness he extended, and the joy he brought to everyday moments. Those that are left behind to forever keep his legacy as a mark that canβt be erased include his children, Shavon Hiler of Racine, WI; Tierra (Jerry) Kelly of Snellville, GA; Mary (Charlene) Hooks of Atlanta, GA; Edward Hooks Jr. of Racine,WI; his mother, Mary L. Hooks of San Antonio, TX; his sisters, Robin (Patrick) Hunter of San Antonio, TX and Nancy (Antonio) Fuentez of Farmington, MN; and his brother, Murphy Hooks of Racine, WI; nieces and nephews who he loved beyond words, Nichole Hooks, Taylor Fuentez & Mykeisha Hooks, Nicholas Hooks, Steven Fuentez, Benjamin Hooks; Extended children, Javen L. Pitt, Jamias L. Pitt, and Jashana L. Pitt and Jessica Watson, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Along with his father he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vanessa Davis-Perry; and brother, Ronnie Hooks.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 27th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM at Draeger -Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory 4600 County Line Road, Racine WI 53403

Weβve known each other since elementary school and we were neighbors. You always had a great smile, laughter, and kindness.
