Mr. Edward "Ed" Wayo, 82, passed away at WFH- All Saints on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

He was born in Racine on May 23, 1930 to the late Stephen and Julia (nee: Lesko) Wayo.   After attending St. Catherine's High School he served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1947 – 1950.  Following his service he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he received his degree in electrical engineering.  On July 7, 1956 he married Darlene Johnson at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

First and foremost, Mr. Wayo was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He retired from Motor Specialty after 30 years of employment and was a charter member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.  Mr. Wayo enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle, watching football and dining out. He was happiest however when he was in the presence of his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Darlene, he is survived by his children, Wendy (Keith) Brault, Steven (Jayne) Wayo of Racine, Karen (Sung) Lee of Syracuse, NY; his three grandchildren, Mitchell Brault, Nathaniel and Amanda Lee; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jule (Dolores) Larrabee of Parker, CO, Marv (Pat) Johnson of Riverside, CA; his niece and nephew, Cindy (Steve) Zabuska of Escondido, CA and David (Martha) Larrabee of Parker, CO; as well as many dear relatives and friends.  Mr. Wayo was also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Helen (Frank) Popadick, Marie (Rudy) Fojtik, Julia Wayo, Steve (Lois) Wayo and James Wayo.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. for the celebration of his life and funeral service with Rev. Dr. Melvin A. Miritz officiating. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-4 p.m.  A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection or to one's favorite charity.

The Wayo family wishes to express their gratitude to all those that assisted them including; the first responders to their home as well as the emergency and ICU staff at WFH – All Saints.  Your professionalism and compassionate care were greatly appreciated.
