"A shining light has dimmed here on earth, but Heaven has gained a new angel."

Eileen M. Carls, age 97, passed away on March 8, 2024. Eileen was born on July 12, 1926, in Kenosha, to Harry and Julia (Bonk) Orth.

On December 29, 1945, Eileen married Raymond Carls. They celebrated 58 years together and had four children: Patricia (Lee) Fuhrman, Rich Carls, Julie (Ed) Mohrbacher and Don Carls. She is also mourned by her grandchildren: Ryan (Jennie) Fuhrman, Taryn (Tony) Hall, Jennifer (Chad) Lawrence, Troy (Janine) Carls, Ashleigh Mohrbacher, Corey Carls, Courtney Carls, Nicole Carls and Shayne Carls.

Eileen has a dear sister-in-law, Ellie Orth, and many great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews ~ too numerous to mention.

Eileen enjoyed cooking, reading and collecting cookbooks as well as playing cards with their card club. Eileen left with beautiful memories of several trips taken with her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Lee Fuhrman.

Most of all, Eileen was a very loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and sister, who will be missed dearly but will forever be in the hearts of those she left behind. The family finds comfort in knowing Eileen joins Ray and they are once again together and in peace with God.

Eileen was a woman of faith and was greeted in Heaven by her loving husband Ray, her son, Don, Eileen's parents and six siblings, Virginia (Ed) Wawiorka, Margaret (John) Gadwell, Dorothy (Ed) Sadowski, Harry (Charlotte) Orth, Bob Orth and Don Orth, sister-in-law, Elaine (Jim) Verhegge, and her grandson, Jason Fuhrman.

A special thank you to Eileen's daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ed Mohrbacher, for their selfless and compassionate love and care they provided to Eileen for over 20 years, a promise Julie made to her father before he passed.

From a grateful family and with a special thank you to Liz and Amy from Compassus, and to our nurse, Ashleigh Mohrbacher, for her loving care over the years and in her Grandmother's final hours.

In accordance with Eileen's wishes, a private internment for immediate family will be held.
