Racine – Eileen M. (nee: Anderson) Frederickson, age 90, passed away peacefully at Lakeshore at Siena on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Eileen was born in Iola, WI, on September 30, 1935, to the late Milo and Grace (nee: Griena) Anderson. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School and shortly after graduation, she married Thomas Olive. Nine years later, they were finally blessed and started their family. Sadly, at the young age of 32, Tom passed away from colon cancer…leaving Eileen to raise their three children, ages 5, 3 and 2. Within a short time frame, Eileen rekindled a high school friendship with John "Jack" Frederickson, fell in love for a second time, and was married on June 29, 1968. Jack treated Eileen like a queen and loved her children as if they were his own, happily adopting Diane, Jodi, and Rick before adding two more, Paul and Beth, to their crew.   Jack and Eileen were a real inspirational couple to all who knew them – never missing a Friday date night.

Eileen was a lifelong member of Lutheran Chapel of the Cross, where she shared her gift of voice in the choir, was an important member of the Ladies Guild, and served as Treasurer for several years.  Instilling her strong faith by raising her children in the eyes of the Lord.  One of her greatest joys was her devotion to her family.  As a loving homemaker she had a hot meal on the table by 5:00 o'clock, and lunches packed for everyone each day.   When the kids got older, Eileen volunteered for many years for St. Mary's/Ascension All Saints Auxiliary, at Lutheran High School Thrift Store and with Our Harmony Club. She briefly worked outside the home a couple of hours a day at the Racine Journal Times in their lunchroom.  She also enjoyed taking ceramic classes, reading a good book, and was quite talented at knitting, making every family member a Christmas stocking with their names on it.  Most of all, she loved being a grandmother, attending numerous school concerts, sporting events, and art shows.  Just holding all the new great grandbabies brought her so much joy.  Filling her home with family on any given weekend and especially during the holidays was a treasured memory.

Eileen also loved Jack's interest in classic automobiles, having owned a Kaiser Darrin and a 1940 Cadillac, they had the pleasure of traveling to countless car shows, including across the states throughout the years. In retirement, Jack & Eileen traveled in their camper to Alaska & Canada – making memories that lasted a lifetime. Sadly, Jack lost his brief battle with colon cancer in 2001 at the young age of 64.

Eileen is survived by her five children – Diane (Tony) Sluga, Jodi (John) Iorio, Rick (Katie) Frederickson, Paul (Sue) Frederickson, and Beth (Jamie) Verbeten.  Adored Grandmother to 12 grandchildren –  Meghan (Ben) Sluga-Hauch, Jayme (Jeff) Nelson, Shea Sluga, Melissa (Will Pettis) Iorio, Cody (Danielle) Iorio, Brooke (Zack) MacKenzie, Nikki (Bobby) Wiltgen, Natalie Frederickson, Riley (Saadiyah) Mann, Reid Frederickson, Nolan and Aubrie Verbeten; and 10 beloved great-grandchildren – Frederick, Jaxson, Jude, Simone, Kamden, Evren, Nova, Harper, Raegan, and Atlas. With three more little ones coming this Fall. Further survived by a brother, Michael (Debbie) Anderson; sister-in-law, Judy (Fred) Lemke, and many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Eileen was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin (Carol) Anderson; sister, Betty (Jack) Boehme; Jack's parents, John H. and Floretta (nee: Warming) Frederickson; sister-in-law, Joanne (Dick) Westphal; and brother-in-law, Paul Frederickson (Jack's twin).

Services celebrating Eileen's life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (322 Ohio Street in Racine) with Pastor John Anderson officiating. Interment will take place next to Jack in West Lawn Memorial Park.  A memorial reception will follow back at church. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 am.
