Elaine Gryczkowski

Oct 24, 1931 – Mar 8, 2006

Elaine D. Gryczkowski, 74, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Wednesday, March 8, 2006. She was born in Racine on October 24, 1931, daughter of the late Walter and Frances (nee: Lubinski) Urban, Sr. She was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. On May 26, 1951 she was married to Edward Gryczkowski in Holy Name Catholic Church. Elaine worked for Ludwig Manufacturing for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a devoted wife and mother, and the love she shared with her family was her greatest treasure. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Edward Gryczkowski, and their sons, Ron Gryczkowski of Racine, and Randy (Cindy) Gryczkowski of Franklin; grandchildren, Megan and Lauren Gryczkowski; brother, Harvey (Geri) Urban of Racine, and sister, Marilyn Nevoraski of Kenosha; sister-in-law, Dolores Urban of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Walter (Lillian) Urban, Jr. and Dennis Urban. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 13, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 12:30 pm. Memorials to St. Jude’s Shrine have been suggested.
