Racine, E lenora Davis, 95, of Racine Wisconsin, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born on February 27, 1918, in Savage, Mississippi, to the late Willie and Laura (Nee: Butler) Riley.
E lenora moved to Memphis with her family in 1925 and several years later moved to Chicago where she spent most of her years. Elenora was a Christian woman, who professed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age.
E lenora was a beautiful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family and served them faithfully during her lifetime. Although Elenora worked in several factories, nothing brought her more joy than being a devoted homemaker to her wonderful family. She especially enjoyed baking and sewing. She and her family moved to Racine, WI in the late 1990's.
E lenora leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter; Bertha Davis of Racine, Wisconsin, son; Robert Davis of Racine, Wisconsin, granddaughter, Joyjennia (Ferlanzo) Benjamin of Griffith, Indiana, great grandchildren; Christian and Jazzamin Benjamin of Griffith, Indiana, brother; Frank Riley of Memphis, Tennessee as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends. In addition to her parents, Elenora was preceded in death by her husband; Charlie Davis, brothers; Leroy Riley, Willie Riley Jr., Tommy Riley, James Riley and her sisters; Emma Riley and Laura Bell Perkins.
E lenora will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Elenora's life will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Friday,August 9, 2013. All are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service. The committal service will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Bishop L.L. Kirby will be Officiating and Minister Enrico Perkins will be the Eulogist.
