Obituary

Racine, WI – Elizabeth (nee: Myles) Lockridge Was born into time on November 22, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee to Elmo and Rosie (nee: Miller) Myles. Elizabeth transitioned from her earthly home in Racine, Wisconsin at her place of residence on November 16, 2021.

Elizabeth received her High School Diploma from Englewood High School and continued her education at Wilson College, both in Chicago, Illinois. Elizabeth accepted Christ as her savior at an early age in Chicago, Illinois. Before her transition, Elizabeth was a faithful and a dedicated member of Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Buddy Vinson where she served as a Mother of the church.

Elizabeth worked at Surgitek for many years and later retired from Greene Manufacturing of Racine, Wisconsin.

Elizabeth enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, watching football, basketball, and spending quality time in the company of her family and friends.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving children Jodie Lockridge Jr., Terry (Walinda) Lockridge and Dadra Lockridge all of Racine, Wisconsin; one sister Sandra Jean Shipp of Quincy, Illinois; four brothers, Elmo Myles Jr. of Racine, WI., William Myles Sr., of Chicago, Illinois, Edward Jones Jr. (Teresa) of Kissimmee, Florida, and Harry Jones of Riverdale, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She also leaves host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear close friends Deacon Hossie and Pamela King, Aldrenna Jackson-Smith and Dale Bostick and her special brothers and sisters-in-law James (Maggie) Lockridge and Cleveland and Mary Cornelious.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Jodie Lockridge Sr.; parents Elmo Myles Sr. and Rosie Jones; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Myles and Tracey Jones and her great-grandson, Mateo Campbell.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 11:00am in the chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the chapel 10:00am – 11:00am. Entombment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park.

Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home.
