Elliott Blomquist

May 13, 1917 – Dec 10, 2005

ELLIOTT A. BLOMQUIST BLOOMINGTON, MINN. – Mr. Elliott A. Blomquist, 88, formerly of Racine, died on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Gardens of Bloomington in Minnesota. He was born in Norway, Mich. on May 13, 1917, to the late Eric and Katarina (nee: Boman) Blomquist. On November 26, 1947, he married the former Sue Mary Ruffalo in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on May 31, 1997. He moved to Bloomington, Minn. from Racine to be closer to his family after her death. Mr. Blomquist served his country with the United States Army during World War II. He retired from Twin Disc. Mr. Blomquist enjoyed spending his time fishing, traveling, and being with his family. His survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Mary Blomquist; grandsons, Brent and Ryan Blomquist, all of Bloomington, Minn.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret Blomquist, Frank Ruffalo, Louis (Bernice) Ruffalo, Emil (Julie) Ruffalo, William (Rose) Ruffalo, Josephine Twist, all of Racine, Rose Biagoni of Berkeley, Ill., Mamie (Ector) DeLuca of Whittier, Calif., and Frank Krepelan of Racine; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, his brothers and sister, Fred, Victor, and Ina, all preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 5 until 7 p.m. for a public visitation. His funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, Highway 32, on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
