Racine- Elois Carter, age of 74, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her residence peacefully and surrounded by family.

She was born in Summit, Mississippi on September 25, 1942 to the late Theodore and Lula (nee: Watkins) Carter. She was united in marriage to Clenard Hardy, Sr. and into this union seven children were born. Elois was employed by the Racine Belle Urban System and then by Durham School Services. She received her education at Burgland High School in McComb, Mississippi “Class of 1961” and later attended Campbell College in Jackson, Mississippi “Class of 1963” – also attending Gateway Technical College “Class of 1978”. She accepted Christ at an early age becoming a member of Triumph Church of God in Christ where she served as choir leader and sang in the choir with an amazing voice. Later attending Searching Together Missionary Baptist church where she also sang in the choir.

She will be remembered as a STRONG, God fearing woman. Mom was a happy fun loving person who loved her children and grandchildren and family with all her heart. She enjoyed shopping, singing, dancing, cooking and food and just plain old fun. She will fondly be remembered for that. To her remaining siblings – she’ll always be the baby of the bunch.

Elois is survived by her loving children, Clenard Hardy Jr, of Nevada; Stephen (Eula) Hardy of Virginia; Charles and Stephanie Hardy of Racine. Her adoring grandchildren, Dolleta, Kevantrae, Precia, Desmond Hardy, Brandon Fehlberb, Maxine, Victoria, Nat, Jenee, Jenelle Hardy and great-granddaughter Aubree Walker.

She was further survived by her siblings: Beulah Williams, James (Lee) Carter, Elder EC (Ernestine) Carter, Dorothy Jones and special sister Stella Thompson. Special niece Virginia Knox and a host of loving nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three daughters, Angela Carter, Maxine and Evelyn Hardy, 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

Elois, God needed another Angel for His Heavenly Choir and He chose you. Sing on my Sista, sing on. To The Family, I know your pain. God will take it away and dry all your weeping eyes. Just hold on to His word. Lois is loved and will be missed. God Bless you all 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
