Obituary

KENOSHA – Elton J. Spencer, 52, passed away Froedtert South – Kenosha Hospital Campus, after a battle with Covid-19.

Elton J. Spencer was born in Chicago to Lillian Brown and Roosevelt Spencer Sr. on February 14, 1969.  He attended Benjamin Banneker Elementary, and Paul Robeson High School in Chicago, Ill.

Elton was a laid, back family man who loved sports, cars, and music. Elton worked as a Security Guard until he moved to Kenosha, WI where he worked for Parker Plastic until his death.

Big E is just one of many nick names that he went by. Elton loved traveling to and from Chicago every weekend to visit his mom and auntie. After pursuing Linda Granville since Elementary Elton finally wedded Linda Granville-Spencer on August 2, 2013 in which they conceived a beautiful girl.

Elton leaves to cherish his legacy his loving wife, Linda Granville- Spencer; seven children, five daughters and two sons, Dorothy Spencer, Ill. Elton Spencer Jr, Ill. Dominick Spencer, Ill. Kenisha Freeman, Ill. Tyana Spencer, Ill. J'Neisha Spencer and Jessica Morris (bonus daughter) both of  Kenosha, WI; eleven grandkids; his mother, Lillian Brown;  two sisters, Rose Mary (Lady) Spencer of Chicago, Elizabeth (Moon) Spencer of Las Vegas NV; two brothers, Roosevelt Spencer Jr. and Bryant Goodwin; brother- in- law Raymond (Eva) Farris, Gloria (Antoine Sr.) Cleveland. Emma (Dejuan Senior) Williams. Lawanda Granville, Kizzie (T.J) McMorris all of Kenosha, WI. And A host of aunties, uncles and family members. Elton was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Spencer Senior, grandmother, Mable Lee Brown, grandfather,  Lovell Brown, Mother-In-Law Clara Granville, Aunt Debra Brown, and uncle, W.L. Brown.

Family and friends are invite to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021 for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  A service celebrating his life and Homegoing will follow at 12:00 p.m.   He will be interred at Graceland Cemetery in Racine immediately following the funeral.

Service Details

Family and friends are invite to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021 for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

A service celebrating his life and Homegoing will follow at 12:00 p.m.   He will be interred at Graceland Cemetery in Racine immediately following the funeral.
