Obituary

Elysia Marie Rapp. 20, passed away tragically, as a result of an automobile accident on Thursday, October 7, 2010. She was born in San Diego, CA on December 21, 1989. Elysia lived in San Diego until moving to Racine in 2000.

Elysia was a 2008 graduate of St. Catherine's High School where she was a flyer on the Cheer & Stunt Team. After high school she attended UW-Milwaukee where she cheered on the UWM Panther Cheer Team. Presently, Elysia was a sophomore at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN; where she was perusing a degree in interior design.

Surviving are her mom and dad, Darcy and Corie Hargrove, of Racine, WI; father Jeffrey Rapp, of Austin, TX; brothers, Adam (Ashley) Graan and Joseph Hamilton, all of Racine; sister, Deanna Hargrove, of Neenah, WI; grandparents, Larry and LaBelle Haeger, of Ramona, CA, Kathy Shipp, of Las Cruses, NM, and Idella Hargrove, of Racine; great-grandmother, LaBelle Fischl, of El Cajon, CA; aunts and uncles, LaBelle (Gary) Edmiston, of San Diego, CA, James Rapp, of New Mexico, Nikki (her Tia) Pecorelli, of Escondido, CA, Christopher Mayfield, of Racine, Kornell Hargrove, Rev. Melvin Hargrove, and Dennis Clay, all of Racine, and Gloria (Terrence) Williams, of Madison, WI. Her nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive her. Elysia was preceded in death by grandfather, James Henry Rapp Jr., great-grandparents, Edwin and Florence Haeger, Frank Fischl and James Henry Rapp Sr., her boyfriend, Marcus Johnson and friend, Wilfredo Urgate.

Her Memorial Homegoing Service will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14th in Grace Church, 3626 Hwy 31, with her uncle Rev. Melvin Hargrove officiating. Please keep Elysia and her family in your prayers. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Elysia Rapp/Marcus Johnson Folundation which will be established to aid families of victims killed by drunk drivers.
