Racine- Eric A. Staples, 31, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, May 5, 2007. He was born in Racine on April 22, 1976. An extremely talented artist, Eric was respected among his peers as an amazing tattoo designer. He was currently employed by Modern Image, a local tattoo studio. In his spare time, Eric enjoyed drawing and fishing. Surviving are his father, James (Cathy) Staples; sisters and brothers, Laura (Joe) Arneson, Leslie (Ken) Staples, Nick (Michelle Buri) Staples, David (Holly) Staples and Brandon (Anngee Goldbeck) Seitz; grandparents, Ottmar and Vera Staples; his girlfriend, Kristen Staples; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Seitz; brother, Michael Staples; and grandparents, John and Ruby Seitz. A memorial service celebrating Eric's life will be held in the funeral home, 4600 County Line Rd., on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 pm. In memory of Eric, memorials contributions to the family has been suggested.
