I was informed of Esther’s passing yesterday, ( I relocated 50+yrs. ago). I am so saddened to hear of her transition . Sincere condolences to her children and entire family. We were close childhood friends and neighbors on 10 St. Together we played, talked, dreamed and looked out for one another. She was my buddy! Always sharing her laughter, that twinkle in her eyes, her mischievous smile and love. Her family treated me with such kindness and care. I specifically, remember ‘Lilly’, (Olivia?) saving my life one hot summer day around 1961 , While doing cartwheels in the park, a broken Progressive Dairy milk bottle found its way imbedded into my thigh. and she quickly created a home – made tourniquet (from her white sweater ) and saved my life. I am grateful to her to this day! May God keep and comfort you, always. Esther’s capacity to love is infinite! ❤️
