Obituary

After 100 years of creating memories with family, friends and strangers, Faith Poplawski, a woman of integrity, faith and humility was called home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, "Well done, good and faithful servant". Born on September 9, 1925, Faith celebrated her 100th year on this earth this past summer. She was a devoted wife, mother, and confidant. She was a wonderful cook and baker making delicious homemade doughnuts and her famous pecan dreams. She loved having the family at home during the holidays, including her extended family and children's spouses. Christmas was her favorite holiday, full of laughter and joy.

Faith was the daughter of John Richard and Etta Mae (Spencer) Williams born in Sherry Wisconsin (Wood County). She was one of nine children with siblings: Virginia, Clara, Dorothy, Gladys, Lena, Ruth, Mary, and David. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. As a young adult she moved to Racine and was employed at SC Johnson, prior to her marriage where she met her future husband. On October 9, 1948, she married the love of her life Jerome Joseph "Jerry" Poplawski. The couple was blessed with six children. After Jerry's passing on March 11, 1979, she was employed at St. Catherine's High School for a short time. An avid sports fan, she cheered on the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. Faith was also well traveled, enjoying travel to the Holy Land and vacations in Fence Lake (WI) and other locations with her family.

Faith is survived by her children: Mark (Linda), Jerome "Jay" (Kathy), Michael (fiancé Leisa Phillips), Joyce (Mark) Onosko and Greg (Lori); grandchildren and great grandchildren: Amy, Bace and Jasper; Marcus (Abby), Marek and Greta; Beth (Thomas) Fish; Christina (Jakub) Andrzejewski, David and Adam; Holly (Jeremy Schwanke); Colton; Elle.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Bettie Williams and many relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband "Jerry," son Matthew and great granddaughter Elise along with all 8 of her siblings and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family wishes to thank Faith's caregivers, Anita, Mary, Gwen, and Jamie for the comfort they added to Faith's life in her later years, and a special thank you to the Aurora Hospice Team for their excellent support and nursing care.
