Obituary

Racine – Flora L. (nee: LaRose) Klinkhammer, age 89, passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 with her daughters at her side.

Flora was born in Holcombe, Wisconsin on March 24, 1926 to the late Alphonse and June (nee: Beaulieu) LaRose. On February 1, 1947 in Holy Name Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Norbert H. Klinkhammer, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2009.

Flora was a longtime member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church (formerly known as Holy Name). Among her talents, she excelled in crafting, knitting and quilting. Above all, she loved spending time with her entire family.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (Dave) Rudin of Middleton, WI & Beverly (Joe) Paricka of Charlotte, IA; daughter-in-law, Charla Klinkhammer of Racine; 11 adored grandchildren; 23 cherished great-grandchildren; sister, Iva Ager; sisters-in-law, Betty Wielgat and Arline Klinkhammer; special niece, Amy DuBois; devoted friend, Rhonda Boyd; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents and husband, Flora was preceded in death by her beloved sons and daughter-in-law, Ron & Cathy Klinkhammer and Norbert K. Klinkhammer; sisters, Theresa Pooler, Lillian Braden and Florence Steffen; brother, Norman LaRose; sister-in-law, Joyce (Paul) Emmons; and brothers-in-law, Stanley Wielgat,Tom Klinkhammer, Al (Gertrude) Klinkhammer and Kenneth Ager,

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. A memorial dinner will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Richard's Parish or to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
