Frances "Fran" M. Rasmussen,76, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born in Racine, on January 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Henry and Abbie (nee: Johnson) Jung.

On April 18, 1975, she was united in marriage to Lee Rasmussen. She had been employed by Young Radiator, Big Boy, OMC, Midland Container, and Great Lakes. Fran was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at heart, freely giving of her time at St. Luke's Hospital for many years, reading for Cops' N Kids, and helping various groups at the church. For years, Fran and Lee enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards with friends and square dancing. She loved the outdoors, enjoying watching and feeding all the birds and animals. Spending time with her family was her greatest pleasure.

Surviving are her husband, Lee Rasmussen Sr.; their children, Brian (Angela) Rasmussen, of Norman, OK, Marcia (Craig) Highman, of Racine, Wade (Roxanne) Rasmussen, of Hahira, GA, Tracie (Joe) Minorik, of Racine, Kim (Montine) Knowles, of Decatur, AL, Robin (Ted) Shechtman, of Carey, IL, Lee "Shotter" (Lori) Rasmussen, Jr., of Racine, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and brother, Wesley (Lois) Jung, of Tampa, FL. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Service Details

A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held in the First Baptist Church, 3117 Lathrop Ave. on Thursday, August 6th, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
