Frank Bisotti

Nov 5, 1929 – Mar 7, 2009

Racine – Frank Bisotti, 79, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Frank was born in Liggett, KY on November 5, 1929 to the late Frank and Maggie (nee: Scalvini) Bisotti. He graduated from Hall High School of Harlan, KY in 1948 where he was a star athlete in varsity football and basketball all four years of school. Faithfully patriotic, Frank served our Country with the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Korean War. Following his return, he went on to graduate from Milwaukee Institute of Technology – Barber School in 1953. On June 8, 1957 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Kenosha, Frank was united in marriage with the love of his life, Palma “Pam” Lucy Settimi. With a profound Catholic faith, Frank was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Passionate about career, Frank owned and operated West Racine Barber Shop and Executive Barbers, serving clients (whom he considered all as friends) for over 55 years. He had been active as President of Master Barbers of Wisconsin, Secretary of Racine Master Barbers Assn., on the State of Wisconsin Barbering Apprenticeship Board, West Racine Businessmen Assn., President and Secretary of West Racine Bowling League, and Vice-President of “Who Cares” Bowling League. Frank also enjoyed a round of golf in his spare time. Proud of his Italian heritage, Frank loved the Roma Lodge, where he served three terms as President, Board of Directors for over 30 years, and enjoyed being involved with the annual Italian Fest. Above all, Frank was a gentlemen’s gentleman. With a kind and compassionate spirit, he had no enemies. Everybody loved him. Frank was happiest when in the surroundings of all his family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Pam; son, Frank L. (Sandy) Bisotti of Kenosha; daughters, Dina Bisotti, Debra Burdick and Diane (Mike) Rauch, all of Racine; treasured grandchildren, Ashley Marie Burdick and Andrew Robert Burdick; brothers, John (Blanche) Bisotti, Deno Bisotti, Albert (Sue) Bisotti and Virgil (Nowanna) Bisotti; sisters, Retha Calchera, Sarah Catherine (Randy) Evitts and Della (Faye) Bisotti; sister-in-law, Maxine Bisotti; brothers-in-law, Robert (Mary Anne) Settimi and Dr. Ned (Suzanne) Settimi; many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including his brothers and sisters of Roma Lodge, too numerous to mention by name. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, Valentino, Geno, Basilio (Dorothy),and Louis Bisotti; sister, Marie Bisotti; and in-laws, Pasquale and Margaret Settimi, and brother-in-law John Calchera. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11 am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 pm (Roma Lodge service at 5:30 pm) and in the church on Friday from 10-11 am. In memory of Frank, memorials to St. Lucy Church or to the American Heart Assn. have been suggested.

Testimonials

February 20, 2019

Mike and his team did a fabulous job with the memorial service for our Mom. It was perfect and he made the process easy for me to go through during such a difficult time. She had chosen the funeral home before hand, and she made the right choice. The service was beautiful, simple, and sweet. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
