Obituary

Frank Rombak Jr., age 67, of Racine, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 7, 2025.

Frank was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on January 5, 1958, a son of the late Frank and Janina (nee: Chodyn) Rombak Sr.

On September 6, 1980, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Sandra J. Koch.

Frank graduated from Washington Park High School class of '76.

He was employed as an avid Welder/ Fabricator throughout his career, most recently with IEA in Kenosha.

Frank had a gift for bringing people together—most often around the dinner table. He was a passionate cook whose holiday meals became family traditions, with his prime rib always at the center of the celebration. His kitchen was a place of comfort, where love was served in every bite.

A man of many joys, Frank cherished the great outdoors and spent countless weekends camping with lifelong friends. He also had a deep love for music and an incredible ear—he could hear a song once and remember it forever, often surprising others with his knowledge and taste.

Family meant everything to Frank. He especially treasured vacations spent with loved ones, creating moments that turned into cherished memories. But perhaps nothing lit up his heart more than time with his granddaughters, whose laughter and presence brought him endless joy.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy; his children, Kayla Rombak, Nathan (Ellena Mandujano) Rombak, and Jacob Rombak; his granddaughters, Addy Petrovic and Natalia Rombak, and his siblings, Susan and Richard Rombak, Brother inlaws Dennis Koch (Beverly) and David Koch,Sister inlaws Susan Koch and Joanne Rombak as well as Aunts, Uncles, cousins and Nieces.
