Kileen, Texas – Freddie Petty Jr., age 60, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born in Chicago, IL. on May 25, 1958 to the late Fred and Flora (Nee: McCray) Petty.
Freddie was a long time resident of Racine, Wisconsin, and was a proud graduate of Washington Park High School. He was employed by Greens Manufacturing for over 15yrs. He went to Holy Disciple Pentecostal Church and was a member of the Usher Board. Freddie moved to Killeen, TX and united with Greater Vision Baptist Church. He had an immense love for family and was good to everyone around him, always trying to lend a helping hand. Freddie was "Mr. Jack of All Trades" he enjoyed working on houses and fixing cars. Freddie loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing and listening to music. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Freddie leaves to cherish his dearest memories, his beloved children; Aziz (Dekeithra) Ward, Niesha (Bertram) Thompson, all of Killeen, TX., and their mother Katie Petty (Freddie's former wife and friend for over 27 years) also of Racine, WI., and Latisha Petty, of Racine, WI.; grandchildren, Raquan Thompson, Aniya Thompson, Bertram Thompson Jr., Akhairion Ward, Al Amir Ward, Aminah Ward, Aziz Ward Jr., and Azir Ward, all of Texas; brothers and sisters, Maurice McCray, Dorothy Jackson, Johnnie Roberts, Leon (Marilynn) Petty, Darline Billups, Douglas Petty, Renee (Robert) Patterson, all of Racine, WI., Debra (Robert) Ard of Mississippi and Ronald Petty of Minnesota; special friends, Patricia Jones of Killeen, TX. and Robin Wiggins of Racine, WI., as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Curtis Petty; sister, Patricia Scaife; nieces, Toni Petty and Shahara Foxie.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 11:00am in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd. Visitation will be in the chapel 9:00 – 11:00 am.
