RACINE – Gail Maxwell, 79, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 3, 2015.

She was born in Eagle River, WI on June 19, 1936, the daughter of the late George and Irene (nee: Drager) Eastman.  On March 6, 1958, she married James Michael Maxwell in Prairie du Chien, WI.

Gail was employed by various places throughout her life.  She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Luke's Hospital, a heat sealer at Rainfair and a jewelry sales associate at Walmart.

Gail enjoyed shopping, flower gardening, fishing on the Mississippi and going for drives in her car.  Outside of the time spent with her family, her greatest joy came from being in the presence of her many dogs throughout the years.

In addition to her husband James, Gail is survived by her children, Michael Maxwell, Alane (Randall) Roberts and Laurie (Gregg) Jacob all of Racine; her grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Jamie, Abigail, Brady and Taylor; her sister, Gloria Erickson of Las Vegas; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Maxine Lund of Waterford, Frank (Mary) Maxwell of Milton, Dan Maxwell of Racine; her beloved pups, Cooki and Candi; as well as dear nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 for a time to meet with her family from 2-3 p.m.  A service remembering and celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones.
