Kenosha – Gary J. Weber, 63, received the promise of eternal life on Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was born in Kenosha on June 29, 1950, son of Reuben and Mildred (nee: Ashbeck) Weber.
Gary was united in marriage to the love of his life, Gayle Marie Ludwig, on September 23, 1972, at Immanuel Methodist Church in Kenosha.
Gary graduated from Bradford High School in 1968. He was a truck driver for Coca-Cola in Kenosha for over 20 years and finally retired from Standard Forwarding in Milwaukee. Gary loved his Wisconsin sports teams. He could always be found rooting for his Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. Gary was an athlete himself and enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and hockey. He even could be found coaching his son's teams over the years. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to go deer hunting with his brothers every year at the cabin near Lake Namakagon. He and his son, Gary, enjoyed spending time together fishing for walleye. Gary was a loving father and grandfather. He always spent time on the weekends with his grandchildren whether it was sledding or just taking walks in the woods. Gary was adored by his family and will be dearly missed.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 41 years, Gayle Weber of Kenosha; daughter, Stacey Foster of Kenosha; son, Gary A. (Stephanie) Weber of Kenosha; grandchildren, Jacob Foster, Madalynn Foster, Lilly Paura, Manda Weber, Jax Weber; mother, Mildred Weber; siblings, Carol Sinclair, Richard (Patti) Weber, Ronald (Diane) Weber, Rosann Weber, Brenda Lang-Potts; sister-in-law, Beverly Weber; four-legged canine companion, Abby; other relatives and numerous friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Reuben Weber; and brother, James Weber.
A celebration of Gary's life will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, 11:00am, at Immanuel Methodist Church, 5410 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, with Rev. Anita Lang officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013, 4:00pm until 7:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Racine. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service on Tuesday at Green Ridge Cemetery.
